Why Hire a Writer? I Can Just Write My Own Content-- Can’t I?

Truthfully, anyone can write their own content but it is a personal judgment call as to whether you should write your own content or hire a professional writer to handle the job for you. If you enjoy writing, feel that you have a natural talent for it and possess an understanding of what it takes for content to compete successfully on the Internet then you should probably give it a try. On the other hand, if you find the process of writing to be painful and would rather endure a visit to the dentist for a root canal than put pen to paper, then it’s probably time to turn to a professional.
When considering whether you should handle your own content or hire a professional writer, you also need to give some thought as to whether you realistically have the time to write quality, effective content. Many individuals have the skill to write perfectly good content, but simply lack the time to do it and feel that it is a better investment of their time and money to hire a professional writer for the job.
Content may be the king of the Internet, but timeliness is the queen. Well written content won’t do much for your site if you fail to consistently update it. In order to retain your visitors you must consistently post fresh, new content or you’ll find your site quickly languishing after just a few months. It’s up to you as to how often you want to post new content. Some sites are kept fresh and lively with the posting of daily tips, while others post new articles every week or month. The point is that you need to be constantly infusing your site with life through fresh content.
If the thought of hiring a professional writer makes your wallet squeak in protest, consider getting more bang for your buck by posting your content on your site as well as submitting it to relevant print media and sites as a way to promote your business and drive even more traffic to your site.
